A computer vision platform by FLOX is transforming ordinary CCTV cameras into advanced poultry monitoring tools. Using deep learning, these cameras track bird weights, flock activity, and behavior in real time—eliminating the need for manual weighing and barn checks.
The system delivers real-time analytics through web dashboards, letting producers monitor multiple houses remotely while integrating data from environmental sensors like temperature and humidity.
CEO Imtiaz Shams explains that this innovation not only improves accuracy but also reduces stress on birds and farmers. By detecting early deviations in weight and activity, the system helps identify potential health issues before they spread.
Currently covering 10% of UK poultry production, FLOX aims to monitor 1 billion birds within three years as it expands into North America and Europe.
